its fine with me. but, what is the point of going to the polls just to check "none of the above?" you might as well stay home. its very unlikely that a write-in candidate can win the presidentcy.

Well, I suppose it would make a point...

The problem is that "None of the Above" could win. Often.

Would that be so bad?

If 'none of the above' wins, we should go back to the primaries and start over.
My thought is, however, that due to all the negative campaign ads we've seen, none of the above would rule the day most of the time -- even when one of the candidates was perfectly fine.
That would be a great system.

We could just go in circles with "None of the Above" winning every time. A possible solution is that if "None of the Above" wins, we hold a lottery. Any voter who has never held elected office is eligible to enter. The winner of the lottery wins the election.

That's one lottery I wouldn't want to win!
I'm actually questioning the sanity of anybody who wants to run for President these days. Not only will your entire life be scrutinized down to how much you pay for a haircut, but they will take everything you say and twist it around to make you look like an idiot. Then you have to make the world stay peaceful for 4 years while they keep track of every cold you have, every bite you eat, and while they continue to dig into your past to find a skeleton somewhere...
NO THANKS!

Okay, I'm from a political family, I've heard a million stories, I've been involved with a lot of the process, BUT:
In our small town, "None of the Above" DID win, in a write-in!! They had to hold a "Run off" election - with neither of the former candidates involved - a few months later!
Any time there are 10 votes or more for someone on a ballot or write-in, it has to be treated seriously.
