How to Talk to a Liberal (If You Must)

Has anyone read Ann Coulter's new bestselling book? Came out last week, I believe. My brother bought it and it's pretty good so far.

Didn't read it... but I did see the CBC interview with her... was kind of funny actually because when ever she couldn't defend a view or position she would make bizarre (or stupid) statements...

That's her typical modus operandi. If you make your statements outrageous enough, people will be so stunned by your stupidity that they won't be able to question you.

Funny how people will believe Ann but not Michael Moore. Guess it just depends on which politcal party you prefer.

Ann is the Republican Michael Moore. She just uses books not movies.

I thought Michael Moor was the democrat Rush Limbaugh. Or did he retire and Ann Coulter is new the head loud mouth. Isn't she the one that said all non Christians should die?

Again, no she's not. You keep saying this and think it will become true if you say it enough. I posted her impressive credentials last time for you even. Try Rush Limbaugh as the equivalent of Michael Moore.

"We should invade Muslim countries, kill their leaders and convert them to Christianity."
Ann Coulter Sept 13, 2001

As a "balancing" against Michael Moore, ISU has her coming to speak next week.
Gist of what went on:

Michael Moore: If you pay me $4,000 I'll come speak.
ISU Lectures Committee: Sounds better than your earlier offer of $30,000
College Republicans: We're showing Celsius 41.11, but we demand you bring in Ann Coulter to balance against Moore.
Ann Coulter: I'll come if you pay me $15,000
ISU Alums: If you dont cancel Moore or balance things out we'll yank our money.
ISU Lectures Committee: $15,000 sounds good
Majority of ISU students: What a fucking waste of money.

LOL.

+ WORD.

+ That sums up half the stuff on the politics forum nowadays.

Anybody who takes Ann Coulter seriously needs to have their head checked. That goes for anybody who takes any of the loudmouths on either side (Franken, Moore, Coulter, Limbaugh, et cetera x a thousand) without a grain of salt. It surprises me that there is ANYBODY out there willing to take Coulter seriously after some of the stuff she's said. She is great for shock value and that's why they give her book contracts -- the same goes for her lefty counterparts like Moore. But as for political credibility? Ummm . . . riiiiiight. She's got none, and anybody with political credibility on either side of the party line will tell you the same.

I have to admit that I love Ann Coulter in the same way that I love Mariah Carey, though -- in the "she's completely nuts, what will she do next?" way.

So you're blinded to the point of idiocy by partisanship right?

And it's funny how people are finding it difficult to say things about what she's written.

It's not hard to find something to say about Ann Coulter, it's just that there's no point discussing the rantings of a homophobic, anti-education, pro-violence militant bitch that doesnt care for the environment, supports domestic terrorism and wants to force her religious beliefs on others.

"We should invade Muslim countries, kill their leaders and convert them to Christianity." Sept. 13, 2001, National Review Online

“I think [women] should be armed but should not [be allowed to] vote...women have no capacity to understand how money is earned. They have a lot of ideas on how to spend it....it's always more money on education, more money on child care, more money on day care.”-- Politically Incorrect, 2/26/01

“...a cruise missile is more important than Head Start.”-- Speech, 11/01, rebroadcast by C-Span in Jan. 2002

“My only regret with Timothy McVeigh is he did not go to the New York Times Building."-- New York Observer interview, 8/20/02

God says, "Earth is yours. Take it. Rape it. It's yours." FOX HANNITY & COLMES, shown on June 22, 2001

"Men who get upset and lose their tempers and claim to be sensitive males: talk about girly boys. No, there's a reason hurricanes are named after women and homosexual men, it's one of our little methods of social control. We're supposed to fly off the handle."
August 20, 2002, The New York Observer

Aside from copying and pasting lone quotes, what have you done exactly? Perhaps context, perhaps the avenue of what she said matters. Try it. Try not to just take other people's words and think for yourself.
