My Black and Gold Classroom

Preface: APhiA's colors and old gold and black.

So basically.....I am subbing for a teacher for the first quarter of school as she is on maternity leave. School started for teachers last week, the students come on Wednesday.

I was only planning on having one bulletin board in black and gold....we had the long butcher paper in yellow, so that wasn't a problem. But I had to go find more black letters for the headings.

So I went to the teacher supply store....found the black letters....but they had these AWESOME black and gold incentive charts! (The things where you put stars by the kids names every day or week or what have you.) And it wasn't just yellow and black....it was BLACK and OLD GOLD! You can't imagine how happy I was.

THEN I found smiley face stickers to use for the chart. Gold, but a slightly different shade so you could see them against the gold incentive chart.

THEN I found a black and old gold calendar!!!!

My day was made. When I got back from the store, one of my teachers said "Oh lord, it's gonna be Alphaville in Mr. Senusret I's room."

Just wanted to share.
