Iyanla Vanzant Fans
Hallmark Gold Crown Stores are selling journals, notepads, envelopes, an address book, stickers, etc. with Iyanla's motivational messages on them. They are priced from $1.60 to $14.95.

Did you hear that she is going to have her own talk show now? Barbara Walters is producing it.

I am very much a fan if Iyanla Vanzant, and I hope to be able to support her show (depending on the time it comes on). It is too bad that she and Oprah (sp.) are at vices over the show. I believe Iyanla asked Oprah to produce it, but Oprah felt that would not help her own personal show. That is too bad, they are both talented young women ... but if I did mis speak on any of this let me know ... thanks! And if you have been watching Oprah you have probably noticed that Iyanla is not in the new series ..... :-( Good things never last.

I am an Iyanla fan too! I was sooo disappointed to see that she is not on Oprah's new series. The Iyanla appearances on Oprah made for some of the best shows!!

I had no idea that Oprah and Iyanla had issues with regards to Iyanla's show. Can you please fill me in?? Quite frankly it would not have worked out because Oprah and Iyanla are both very strong personalities and I notice at time particularly when she has Gary Zukav on her show that she(Oprah) is very domineering. Its as if she has to remind folks that this is her show by putting her 25 cents in. She is not a good listener from that standpoint. Plus I think she would be spreading herself too thin. I also think that she on some level is trying to become the Martha Stewart of multimedia...jeez I have alot to say...lol. Anyhoo, thats just my POV.

Alls I know is that Oprah did not want to help her (Iyanla) and from all my Star/Inquirer reading friends it seems that Oprah's motives were/are selfish. But I hope both their shows work out.
Lots of people say women spend to much time watching Oprah, but I love the real facts that she is bringing now-a-days, and I am sure Iyanla will do the same in her own way.
As long as they both keep teaching and remain strong leaders then I am fine with it all. Remember they are in the public eye portraying us!!

I support all black folk as long as I agree with their agenda. But Oprah is not one of my favorites. She wants to be a Social Worker. She can tell you ever Da_n thing you want to know and I hate a know it all.
Sister Oprah has come a long way. However, I think she fails to see that her problems are more easily addressed because she has the support and money to seek soultions whereas, the average person does not. Lately, she comes across to me as if ones problems are simple if one just has self esteem. I know its not that easy. I stress over money, my girl not responding the way I want and a host of other things. If I had her cash I would have a counselor on call 24-7 to advise me. The reality is that most people will have problems and they are not solved just by watching her show.

I wondered why Iyanla was not on the show this season. But she still had Dr. Phil. I was really tripping.
Ya know, it's something when we do not help each other. Maybe she saw Iyanla as a threat. I mean dayum O, you cannot and will not always be on top. You see what happened to Gayle's show and SHE (O) backed it!
GOD DOES NOT LIKE UGLY!
I hope Iyanla does well!
I am not really a fan of O, either. It seems like she has had everybody's problems and can solve them ALL! Can tell you how to raise a child and she DOES NOT HAVE 1! I stopped watching O a lonnnnnng time ago! Oh, only when I knew Iyanla was going to be on! lol

Interesting. Starting Over is one of my favorite shows. It's the Real World for grown folks! LOL As a matter of fact, it is by the same people. This should be interesting... Gotta set my TiVo for September 13th!

What a great opportunity for Soror Iyanla to showcase her spiritual, common-sense advice. SO is the only "reality" series that I watch, albeit sporadically.
I see Rhonda is returning, but what happened to Rana, the sister life coach from last season? I wonder if she had enough of the psycho mother-daughter duo that created so much drama at the end of the first season.
It will be interesting to see how the psychologist fits into this show, especially now that it is set in Los Angeles. But I think some of those women need a psychiatrist ... medication definitely is in order.

I think Rana is doing something with BET now. Not sure if that is the reason she is not coming back to the show. I also heard/read that Josie will be back for this season. It's going to be interesting to see how Iyanla deals with her! LOL

Yeah. I especially want to see her deal with Josie's boyfriend. That guy is a real winner. NOT!
I wonder how long it will take to reveal who is the baby's father? Josie will lose it if it isn't ol' boy, and he is gonna bounce. I can only hope he does, even if he is the dad.

Ain't THAT the truth! Josie's man is a total jerk--showing up to visit the baby all tipsy with his friend She's SO better off without him (he needs to mature a little).
And I'm sure Iyanla Vanzant will do great on the show (even though I liked Rana; Rhonda was ok)...
