Ok, how can a significant number of girls not like receiving oral sex? (I thought we would need a spicey topic)

I mean guys are in training for that their entire lives. We start doing tongue excercises at age 6, study tactics and strategies, and are ready to do it at a moments notice for hours at a time.

But some girls just don't like it . . . Beyond the old adage of "You just haven't met someone good at it", is that usually a body image issue?

Where the girl isn't very comfortable with her body so the whole idea skeeves her out so she won't really enjoy it?

Or is there some other sinister reason? She just hates orgasms maybe?

I would say it's just very severe body image issues. Some girls are brought up to believe, or are told by insensitive ex-boyfriends (usually the ones who don't want to do it) that their genetalia are dirty or unattractive.

I mean, bad oral sex is kind of like bad pizza, it's still pretty good. Unless the guy is using his teeth in the wrong places or something.

ETA: Fingers do just as good a job at making a girl climax. So why do it with your tongue when you could be kissing me and touching me?

It's also a very vulnerable position to be in. Consider it this way- when a guy is getting oral, he's still often in a position where he can feel in control. I mean in the stereotypical position, girl on her knees, your hands on her head...lots of control. But when a girl is receiving, she's often laying on her back with her legs spread open...exposing a part of her that many have been taught is extremely private, or dirty, or at least represents a definitive aspect of our feminity. I wouldn't do it for a long time because I just felt too...open to the world. But I think that most girls can get over it when they realize how good it can feel...I did at least

Let's not forget that every woman is different, too. I could cosign on to what both Veemer & Wishinhopin said - there are other, more wonderful things that tongue could be doing, and it's a terribly vulnerable position.

some girls are not just not very stimulated by oral sex. it does not give them the pleasure that intercourse or fingering might have.

Reasons for women being wary of oral sex or cunnilingus to use the vernacular are most often body image views. Based, upon a held view it may look funny, smell bad etc.

I think... every woman is different. That said, some experience as well as natural flair the guy or girl thinks s/he may have will help. Some knowledge of below-waist anatomy will go a long way. Further, there are different things that can be tried and advanced techniques like pressure point stimulation etc.

Fingers are very very different to tongues. Tongues are flexible, warm, wet; plus it says something positive if a partner is prepared to go there rather than just use fingers.

As for the only position in which a woman can receive oral sex being her lying on her back legs apart that is simply wrong.

Ok, back on topic. I don't think I will go on a man unless he returns the favor. In other words, I don't think I will mind. I can see how some women would oppose to this, especially if they have body image issues.

I didn't intend to imply that this is the only position available...but many times, when a girl hasn't done such a thing very frequently (if ever) before, this is a natural starting position. I have found that more advanced acrobatics- such as the infamous 69 position-seem to develop after a certain mastery has been accomplished. I think body image does have a lot to do with it, especially if a girl is taught that it's "dirty" or "ugly." But I have also heard people say that the sensation is too intense when that's going on and they can't handle it.

I, however, am not one of those people.
