The place Chris grew up is now overrun with crime, drugs, and violence. Enlisting the help of his old pal Ray Templeton (Johnny Knoxville), Chris gets elected sheriff and vows to shut down Hamilton's operations. i love the rock as much as the next, but doesnt he get it? i think hes well over the line of "milking it for what its worth."

p.s. the plot sounds corny, regardless of which actor you put in it. perhaps a bigger named actor may draw crowds and attention, but even so, i predict this film wont do well.

Wink

The Rock is too fine. I agree that the plot seems a little corny but as long as The Rock is in the movie then I'll go see it!!!! I just loved him in the Rundown!!!

"Hixploitation" drama, based on true events in the life of Tennessee sheriff Buford Pusser, who "removes" corruption in his county with a four-foot-long wooden club. When the criminals attack his family, Buford shoots a whorehouse manager in thehead and runs hillbilly gangsters over with his car.

Summary written by Doug Mosurak {marumaru@andrew.cmu.edu}

Also...

Buford Pusser's a wrestler, whose wife wants him to settle down, so they go to his home town in Tennessee, where he plans to get into business with his father. But he is shocked to discover all sorts of graft and corruption going on. And when he is a victim of it and decides to strike back by running against the corrupt sheriff. And he wins and wages his own little war against them.

Summary written by rcs0411@yahoo.com

Walking Tall is a remake of the 1973 movie "Walking Tall" featuring Joe Don Baker as the lead character, which spurned two sequels with Bo Svenson as the lead character and a short-lived TV series with Bo reprising his role once again.

Hope this helps.

Okay for real, 1 hour and 15 minutes!?!?!?!? That's it. I finally saw it and was UPSET that it ended all randomly like that.

I have seen longer episodes of The Smurfs than that movie.
