Great article on former Jihadists

I've come to see the NYTimes magazine as having much better writing than the paper.

Here is a really decent piece on former Jihadists and how they're trying to change Saudi Arabia. The battle there against terrorism is a joke since all non-Muslims are demonized and violence prevents free speech.

It's amazing that administration after administration has bowed to Saudi demands instead of encouraging reform and rights.

That was a great article. It paints a picture that shows what I've believed for years; Saudi Arabia is our enemy. It doesn't mention US military intervention in the region, but I believe that this article conveys how counterproductive direct US military intervention in Saudi Arabia would be, and why we really invaded Iraq; to remake the region, and specifically to exert real influence on the Saudis.
