I'm trying Yehia next week, they are pretty good. Also I hear Ossama's is good too. I'll let you know how my hair turns out

Don't know if they do fusions, but my daughter travels from K-Zoo to Chi to get her hair done at AJays (sp?). I also got my locs maintained there and it was a very nice experience--very little wait, friendly service, and high quality work. It's on the outskirts of downtown.

Ossama's is the bomb. I use to go to the one on Dearborn. However, I have found a good stylist @ Yehia's now that my hair is shorter. The cool thing about these shops is that you are in and out in 2 hours or less.

I had a HORRIBLE experience at Ajes. I had my hair done by the owner and he was very rude and cut off all my hair. I reported him to the BBB.

I go to Yehia's and I really enjoy them. They have several locations, so a yellow pages search should produce the one nearest to you. You're going to be in and out faster the closer you get to downtown, but they're all pretty quick. Each stylist is different, though, so you may need to try different people until you find the one that you like.

So true! Lana does my hair and she does a great job! However, I believe she is leaving to open her own shop. And Osama's, Sam use to do my hair but I'm not sure if he's still there.

I have a friend who goes to HoneyChild to get her hair done. I've only been their for manicures but she likes it.

Ok, so I just came from Ossama's. They did a GREAT job, my hair is really straight. I just got a relaxer last week though, but everyone coming out of there always has straight hair (for the sistas with perms). It took about an hour and 45 minutes. The sign in the window said 30 dollars for a wash and blow dry but they charged me 35 dollars Prob because of my hair length Overall I enjoyed myself. Oh, I also got my eyebrows waxed there Saturday for 10 dollars which is cheap compared to where I used to go. I went to the salon in Hyde Park on Cornell. The Yehia salon by my apt is closed on Modays..

Most salons are closed on Mondays because stylists work on Saturdays. So their weekends are Sundays and Mondays.
