A Little Bit of Venting!

A few weeks ago, my mom's eccentric friend sent her an email telling her about a friend who is looking for a woman in her 30s. Madame Eccentric thought of me and told mom about him. Mom replies to her despite my protesting. Eccentric replies wanting to know a little bit about me. Mom sends her a brief description about me. There has not been response yet. However, I am upset because I am at all interested, but my mom went ahead with it anyway (she told me "You never know"). I don't like to get set up or fixed up. I'd rather get to know a guy first as friends and see where it takes us. Why do they (my mom and Madame Eccentic) have to do this to me if I objected to this opportunity? GRRRR!!!!!
