Blackberry Messenger
Have sorors (with blackberry cell phones) tossed around the ideal of communicating via blackberry messenger (IM)? I have it, but I don't have that many friends that have a blackberry. It's a nice tool just to drop in and say hi, or start a conversation with as many sorors thats on the messenger (at one time). You must have a data plan to use messenger. Just a thought.

I find it very interesting that 80% of the Delta Sigma Theta women I know have some form of Blackberry device. They all seem to love it though, and beyond the price tag I can see why. They're pretty unique devices, and seem to be able to do a lot more than a standard cell phones (such as Internet Explorer, Windows Mobile, Media Players & ect.). Yet I can't part with my Rumor by LG.
Though it's no where near as extravagant as a coveted Blackberry it makes me happy with it's keyboard and MP3 player option! I haven't taken the time to research exactly how much the phone would cost with plan, data pack, insurance and all that good stuff...

Lol. Nah, it's more of a guesstimation. It's just like in my family there are 2 BGLO's that anyone joins, AKA and DST. So on the DST side it's like EVERYONE has a Blackberry Curve, or something like it.....

Yes, Sorors, it's a true thread not spam. I just thought I would put it out here because I saw it on Blackberry forum (which I am a member of) and it's actually not a lot in common with the people there (other than trying to solve blackberry issues or updates on what's out). I just thought I would post it here to see if it would catch on. By the way I have the Blackberry Curve 8310 (Red) and I love it. PIN:24451E91. After seeing that it did not catch on, I just left it. I am also in with a group of people that sometimes we just have religious discussions or motivation for each other. It's nice when you have several people join in on a discussion to discuss any topics. Of course you have the option if you want to accept anyone as your Blackberry Messenger buddy.

Blackberry is but one form of the PDA. I have had a PDA for about 3 years now. I don't know how I would survive without being able to access my email, send text messages and manage my calendar and contacts with one device!
The problem is that the software for PDAs is not yet fully integrated (even with the iPhone or Blackberry). One day....!
