Parrot Heads

Don't know if there are any other parrot heads out there, but Jimmy was on "Today":

You can watch videos of him performing some of his songs, including Cheeseburger, The Weather is here, I wish you were beautiful, and Fins.

I made myself get up this morning to watch it live on NBC. First time in a while I've been up that early...lol.

I even made a point of mentioning it in the "What are you doing RIGHT now" thread...

The name of my apartment my senior year was "Margaritaville" We got those mail box letters and actually nailed them up over our porch. We painted the walls pink. My roomie was an art major. She painted the word "Margaritaville" real pretty on the wall with flamengos (sp?) on either side. In an arc was the quote, "They send you off to college, try to gain a little knowledge, but all you wanna do is learn how to score." I was a little more liberal back in those days now I would never do something like that but it was fun living there. Also, congrads to the Kappa Sigs on having such an awsome brother!

Sorry for the hijack... I was raised on Buffett and my dad owns some valuable records of his so had to add my thoughts!

I'm a big Buffett fan here. I had to get to school so I taped the Today Show.

I'd pay big bucks for an evening of him and his guitar. I'm really tired of Margaritaville and Cheeseburger. He's got some really great stuff that a lot of people ignore because of the more well-known stuff.

I definitely agree. Most of the songs on "Songs You Know By Heart" are ALL that people know of Buffett. He's so much more than that! I have like a trillion songs on my computer. My friends hear them and are like, "THAT's Jimmy Buffett??"

I am so sad that I didn't get to see him this summer
