Unhappy Buddy Ebsen passes away

ok, this is so weird.....but just yesterday i was watching this thing on the wizard of oz and he was interviewed on it, and i thought, "how sad will i be when he passes away" (morbid kinda thought, yeah, but ya know). and then i just saw on the news that he has passed away. the same thing happened when dave thomas passed away....i saw a wendy's commercial the night before and was like, "wonder what they will do when he passes away..."--next morning, he was gone.

buddy ebsen is probably most known for his portrayal of jed clampett on the beverly hillbillies, but he was also cast as the tin man before the role had to be re-cast since he was allergic to the make-up. he did several other movie and tv roles as well.

how sad.....

Is it me, or have way too many famous people been passing away in the past few weeks? Most of them were older, but still I think it's kind of weird and scary! Sad times in Hollywood and the music industry.

Few actors have been able to break away from a role they were so closely identified with. Buddy Ebsen did that - after being so strongly linked with Jed Clampett, he went on to success with Barnaby Jones. Now and then you can catch an old movie on tv featuring his dancing skills. He will be missed.

Funny, I was just telling my mother in law about so many passings as of late. I love watching Beverly Hillbillies reruns. He will be missed

It's kinda strange, the day before Katherine Hepburn died I was wondering if she was still alive and had resolved to check.

Oh, and Buddy Ebsen co-starred with Shirley Temple in Captain January. She comments on co-starring with him pretty fondly in her autobiography.

I've thought the exact same thing.
