What Does "X" Mean?

I saw on the Pirates of the Caribbean thread someone ask what RPG meant. I didn't know either. There is a lot of internet lexicon I don't know. I didn't know POS meant "parents over shoulder"...For example, could someone PLEASE tell me what CTFU means?!?!?

Is there a good IM dictionary/translation service online?!?!LOL

ZetaAce posted this in the DST forum back in 2000 and it has a lot of acronyms that might help you.

CT4 - I am SETE because you are just SOVS. In fact, MHOTY for taking the time to help us make sense of UFLA that some of us can only make a WAG about. I give you APAC for helping us out!

Must go...HWS AIUI - I guess its just a SMOP with men - emphasis on the S in that last one Better than SAH I guess, although I won't judge that in case anyone has.... "not that there's anything wrong with that!"

I must say that my fav acronym by far is SUCDIC although the spelling has nothing to do with previous paragraph of thought!! I know you are CTFU over that one

I just want to say that those acronyms for IM really really bother me for some reason - I don't know why, but when I see "ctfu" or whatever, it gets on my nerves.

Nothing against those people who use those abbreviations, but if anyone ever catches me using those, I'd like them to slap me.

As long as ADCOMSUBORDCOMPHIBSPAC (ADministrative COMmand, SUBORDinate COMmand, AmPHIBiouS Forces, PACific Fleet) doesn't get into everyday use, I'll be happy. (Leave it to the U.S. Navy to come up with compounded acronyms... reportedly, this is probably the longest acronym in the world.)

Some of the entries on this post remind me of senior yearbook write ups...random letters that when you ask the writer about their meaning they can't remember.
