Bid Day T-Shirts
I am the Rush Chair for my chapter and I was wondering if anyone has any cute Bid Day T-shirt slogans or designs. I want to have something that is eye-catching, something that people will notice and remember. Any ideas?

How about something cheesy like, "Pi Beta Phi~Our Angels have found Heaven on Earth...Bid Day 2002." Something to that effect. Ha ha, this is why I can never be in charge of T-shirts...what seems like a good idea to me is too cheesy for everyone else!
Anyway, welcome to GC!

Well, I've noticed that in recent years my chapter has not used regular T-shirts for Bid Day. They adopt a different logo for each pledge class and put them on baby tees or tank tops. My pledge class last year got the cutest ones so far...sleeveless white tops with Pi Beta Phi written out (b/c obviously we couldn't wear letters yet) in blue letters with orange outline b/c it's UF, and the i's are all dotted with halos. We had the same logo for our Bid Day bags. PC 2000 had an arrow going through their words, etc. It's nice b/c the first Greek Day you see all the new pledges in their jerseys and not just regular T-shirts.
ps: when we ordered recruitment shirts this year, they were fitted baseball tees, so we were advised by the company that made them to just order all mediums (giving girls the choice to get the large ones, too) b/c usually that works for every house. It worked out perfectly, b/c about everyone's the same size, and for those who are a little larger the larges are perfect. Better than giving too-large tops to your new pledge class...if they're drowning in them, they won't look as cute.

This year we got two shirts which was really nice as pledges because we had two shirts to wear, not just one! One was "I love Pi Phi" like "I love NY". I thought that was cute because it showed our Pi Phi pride!

we actually had the charlie's angel's shirts for our crush party a couple years back (before i was in...), and our rush shirts this year are the I *heart* Pi Phi shirts (like the NY ones). the cutest thing is, our bid day shirts are going to be the same on the front, only long sleeve... but on the back, they're going to say "and Pi Phi *heart*s me too!!"
SOOOO CUTE! i can't wait to have new members....
can you tell i'm a rush freak? hehe i so wanna be rush chair next year!

Our fall rush t-shirts read "Up in the stars and all of the sky there's no sorority better than Pi Beta Phi" They are navy with silver writing and yellow stars. They turned out so cute!! Everyone loves them, even the girls from the other houses!

This past recruitment group got three-quarter length tees with the baseball jersey theme. The sleeves were navy blue and in a diagonal writting across the front of the shirt it said "Angels" and "Pi Phi Bid Day 2002" underneath it. It was all on a slant as if it were a team name on a jersey. They were super cute and I still wear mine all the time!

Our chapter has darling rush sweatshirts this year which could be adapted for bid day -- they are white hooded sweatshirts that say
Front:
Pi Beta Phi
Angels (with little wings around the angels)
Back:
Find your wings
Rush 2003 (we have formal rush in January)
The back could be changed to "Found my wings" or "Found our wings -- pledge class 2002"

All of these sound like very cute ideas but I've seen several people say their shirts had the words "Pi Beta Phi" and not letters because of an old tradition that pledges were not allowed to wear the greek letters.
There is a mistaken idea that pledges cannot wear the greek letters. There is nothing in the C&S or any other Pi Phi document that states this. In fact, not allowing pledges to wear the same sportswear as all other members is hazing.
If you want cute bid day shirts with the name spelled out, that's fine but the shirts pledges get need to match what everyone else gets...

Our bid day shirts are going to have an arrow through a heart that says "Shot Through the Heart" to go with the "I (heart) Pi Phi" rush shirts. Actually, I'm going to be Social Chair in a few weeks, and I was thinking about some shirt ideas, if you're interested:
"And she climing a Stairway to Heaven"
(we have a staircase that we all stand on during rush that I thought a picture of all of us in our winter white glory would look nice)
"They say that when a bell rings, an angel gets her wings"
(with a picture of a telelphone and something like "Good morning, Angel")
"There's one more angel in heaven"
MY FAVORITE:
(a dotted outline of an arrow where your pin would go) "coming soon" (on the back, some sort of arrow designs too difficult to explain in words) "The arrow points away from our hearts, ever upwards, to Heaven and Home, Pi Beta Phi"

Our bid day shirt is still my fave Pi Phi shirt... it has my letters in the upper left corner on the front, then on the back it says "All Girls Dream It, So Few Live It... Pi Beta Phi Bid Day 2002" There are also a lot of cute shirt ideas on Greek101.com under the screenprinting section.. I found a lot of ideas there too!

Ours this year are light blue hooded sweatshirts with maroon printing and the front says "Pi Beta Phi Bid Day 2003" and the back says "Celebrate we will for life is short but sweet for certain when you're in the company of angels" I think they are so cute! Most of the other houses got fleeces or jackets and we were the only ones to do hoodies!
