How exciting!!!! I would love to see pictures! Best of wishes to you and your fiance! Will there be any A Phi "accents"?
My little sis just got engaged and she asked me to be in her wedding party! I love weddings!

Thanks for all the good wishes. All of my bridesmaids (7) are my sisters. Well, my maid of honor is my cousin, but her mom is a phi! There are definite phi accents. The flowers are lilies (though not lilies of the valley, they said they were to hard to use) and the colors are a burgundy and silver....the dresses are blue, but the girls are wearing their pins. Mike is a Pi Kappa Phi, so I am carrying white lilies with red roses (his flower). There will be other things also, but right now Im brain dead.
15 days to go!!!!

Sigh... now I want my A Phi/TKE wedding. At least the colors are similar so I could possibly pull it off.

ivysis, I love all the fraternity touches you are incorporating in your wedding! I too am getting married this summer (early August) and although it's a "family only" wedding, I'm trying to get the florist to find white forget-me-nots for my bouquet and I plan on putting a special badge I rescued off eBay in my dress too....and it used to belong to a Beta Gamma chapter member! Small world!

I've seen these colors done in a fall wedding, and they were absolutely STUNNING! The church where it was held had lots of warm wood inside, and the women wore brown and mode/cafe-au-lait. Candles were everywhere, and the bridesmaids all carried blood red (almost brown) roses. Absolutely one of the grandest weddings I've ever been to!

to a CA in CA
The only problems with fresh forget me nots is that the wilt really fast. That's what the alums told us cause we wanted to use fresh forget me nots for pref. ceremony during recruitment. But florists are crafty, maybe they can find a way not to make them wilt so fast.
