Post The Ivy Leaf

Sorors,

Have you read the latest issue of The Ivy Leaf? The articles written by the undergrad sorors are so uplifting and inspiring. If you have not read it, you must read "Traveling Down Twenty Pearl Road" by Soror Nikki Durr on page 14. Also, "A Non-Traditional Soror" by Soror Ritu Singh on page 15 tugged at my heartstrings. The Boule information is also included. The workshops and activities sound great.

I hope that my Ivy Leaf is waiting for me at home, but one never knows. Are you ladies planning on attending BOULE? I know this was a hot topic earlier last month, but I know things have changed for me. I totally want to go, but for reasons out of my reach I fear I may not be able to attend. Well, 2002 is not tooooo far away.

Soror LADYAKA,
I am in the same boat. I would love to go but like you mentioned: Boule 2002 is not far away and we are going to be hosts for that year. I can't wait!

Question

Where's Boule 2002? LadyAKA and I were discussing whether we could swing Boule this year or not when we hung out earlier this week, and the general consensus is that we aren't going. But I'm pysched for the next one. I'd love to know where it's going to be next time!

Oops! I thought she was asking about Boule 2000. I definitely will attend Boule 2002, God willing. I wish I could attend this year. Hopefully, I will have the opportunity to meet some of you in the future.

Just got my IVY Leaf in the mail today! The Boule information looks real good, but as soror DiscoGoddess said we gonna have to pass on this one (2000). Orlando sounds like fun, I could even make it into a miny vacation too, with Disney being a hop and skip away. .......
Sisterly,
LadyAKA

Cool

I was quite impressed with what our undergraduate sorors had to say. I became extremely excited when I read through the Boule listings. Unfortunately, my money is looking funny and I will not be able to attend. I hope that all of the sorors who are attending Boule 2000 will have enough fun for the ones of us who are not able to attend. I am with LadyAKA and SweetAKA when they say, "Boule 2002 is not far away." I am looking forward to attending Boule 2002. Well sorors, I must run now and do some work. I'll skee you all later.

Hello all, I'm new to this board, but I had to say I too was greatly encouraged by the most recent Ivy Leaf (I'd been checking for it for weeks now). The issues get better and better, in my opinion. It got me seriously thinking about trying to fly down to the Big D in July, but I may not be able to break away from work and summer studies. Also, is it safe to fly when you're 7 months pregnant? That answer may seal the deal right there...P.S. I heard Boule 2002 may be in Orlando--DON'T quote me though.

APRussell1908,

I was reading your response and I sincerely like your tag. I am not just saying that, either. That is a truly short, but inspirational quote, I will have to think of that when times are going rough.

Thanks ,
A Savvy Sisterfriend
