I'm taking a WILD stab in the dark here (and may give away my age) but Margaritaville is a very popular Jimmy Buffett song and I'd guess a mixer/party would have something to do with him and his fans (Parrotheads).

As a Buffett fan I think a Margaritaville party would be fun.

My chapter did a Margaritaville Mixer last year (fitting since Buffett is a Kappa Sig). We put tiki torches around the house, and served tropical drinks and of course margaritas. We only played Buffett tunes, and it was fun for everyone (especially the girls that wore grass skirts and coconut bras).

The Kappa Sigs at UTSA have Margaritiville, its soooooo much fun, and a great tribute to one of their most famour alums!

We just had our 11th annual Margaritaville party last month.

The pledges cut bamboo all semester and use rope to tie it together into panels, which are used to decorate the house or the bar that we rent out.

Everyone comes in tropical gear, and guys pass out leis the entire night. Usually we get a deal with the bar owner to give us drink specials on margaritas, ususally margaritas for a dollar.

Guys get to invite whomever they want, so it's more like a crush party, but members are allowed to invite their guy friends or potential rushees.
