What up peoples

This one goes out to the whole College system- Greeks, large or small, phat or wack, there must always be the best, rivals make.......for fun

On your campus who is your rival? No dissing because first of that is not fun and second no need for fights. But, diss mine and it's on

hahahahah..... no really! Is it the fact that your the largest and their the second, or is it because you get all the ladies(fraternity)/guys(sorority), or because.......? Tell it y'all.
As for my organization I can say our rivals are the Pi Kapps. Both our fraternities run the school membership wise, we, both groups, throw some alright parties(I do have to give it to Lambda Phi Epsilon for being the tighest on parties), we play each other in sports(which everyone should get into other than ours.), and when it comes to ladies-well I have one so I don't pay any mind to that section. So what your spewal?

As a sister of aKDPhi, I'm going to say a lil on behalf of the wonderful gentlemen of Lambda Phi Epsilon. Yes, they do throw good parties (although not as tight as the sisters of alpha Kappa Delta Phi) but it just goes to show you that asian americans can throw parties too.... we're not all about studying math equations!!! (although I am a math major!)

And as far as rivals, they aren't really our rivals in the sense that they take rushees or anything (acutally I think we have a healthy rivalry) but I might want to say Sigma Lambda Gamma... not sure cause they are very sweet ladies. And as far as the Asian greek world... there are a few, but no one tops the ladies in purple and white!

The post in this thread that made a reference to Presidents in fraternities should also consider that even before GLOs many of them were Masons. Out of all of the guys that wrote the Constitution, 9 were Masons. Presidents, Congressmen, as well as Senators have had a high percentage of Freemasons. This is the father of all fraternities that led to Phi Beta Kappa and other secret socities.

I was a little confused by your answer MC. However, to go back to the question, ours has to be TKE. And yes, Asian does know how to throw good parties. Why you may ask, because I'm one!

On my campus, I'd have to say Delta Gamma has the rep for the best parties.

we honestly don't have a real "rival" on campus..

there aren't enough GLOs to have real rivals. we get along pretty well with the other 2 sororities, minus a little scuffle here and there.

What is ironic, # 54 of LXA son is a SPE. If he gets lost or screwed up he comes looking for me if I am down for a weekend!

He is working to keep the realations between the two Fraternitys rational and sane!

We are usually the minority on Campuses, why fight with each other!?

When I was in school, we had competition but not fighting!

We Knew we were all Greeks and worked with each other! Why not now?!

We're the smallest on our campus, so technically everyone is a rival. But if I had to pick one, I'd say that we don't really get along with AXiD. They're new and so if they hadn't arrived, we may not have the recruitment problems we have, ya know? But it's all good, I think we're back on the rise

I'm kinda nervous about posting on this thread, because I'm afraid it will get ugly.

That said, my chapter's friendly rival is Chi Omega. I have a lot of Chi O friends but I'd say we have a healthy competition going in rush, Derby Days, etc. I think as long as everything stays civil a little competition can be a good thing. I know that I know most of the Chi-O chapter and feel comfortable hanging out with them.

Well I think we really try to get along with everyone. No real die hard rivalries; were even having a co-party with Sigma Chi. If I had to pick one fraternity that we have a rivalry with I guess it would be Delta Upsilon. The problem is there is no rivalry, they just think there is. At the Delta Zeta Gong Show they did a cover song of Weezer’s Buddy Holly so flash forward to the next day as a pledge eavesdrops on two Delta Upsilon actives during a class.

Delta Upsilon 1: Man did you see how pissed the Pi Kapps were last night at the gong show?

Delta Upsilon 2: Yeah I know it was so funny.

Delta Upsilon 1: When John stared at them when he was signing that verse “I don't care what they say about us anyway, I don't care 'bout that” I thought they were going to rush the stage.

It was rather funny because were definitely not the types to start a fight at a sorority event. Oh well maybe were just who they consider competition.

I think our rivals at Mercer are definitely the Phi Mu's. Not a serious rivalry or anything, just friendly competition

Our rival is Delta Phi Epsilon. It used to be a really bad rivalry, but now we're all friends, with the exception of older girls. Hopefully this year we'll stay friends during Greek Week.
