San Diego
Well, last week I was in PCB. This week I'm in San Diego. I just flew in tonight, and we're staying in Carlsbad, working at camp Pendleton. I don't know how much free time I'll have, but any thoughts? If I have time, I'm definitely going to Mexico, just cause i've never been. I thought about going to the LCA house at SDSU, and checking out the greek row in general also. Who all is out here, Josh8o and DeltaSigStan, anyone else?

Lambda Chi was expelled a few years back, but their alumni still own the old house which is now occupied by Sigma Pi, and occupied by Phi Kappa Psi before they moved to frat row, so I imagine they still want to come back.
But yeah, this weekend is homecoming (we're gonna kick UNLV's ass), so I know at least Delta Sig alums from 1948-2001 will be by

yeah, we lived in the old lambda chi house for about 7 years before the row was built. we actually have pictures of it before we moved in when lambda chi was kicked off....they trashed that place like no other!! i know that there are still a lot of lambda chi alum in the area. a few of them came by the house last year because they wanted to look around.
the new row is on the west side of campus on 55th street. there are other houses scatered around campus too. if you want a tour let stan and myself know.

I'm here too!
Definitely take a day trip to TJ if you have time. Night life in Mexico is pretty much strictly the 18-20 crowd.
The San Diego Zoo and Sea World are always enjoyable.
You can also check out the haunted houses. There's the Del Mar Scaregrounds near you. Also if you go downtown there's the Haunted Hotel and Frightmare on Market Street. I've heard the Whaley House in Old Town will be open for Halloween. The Whaley House is a bonafied government documented haunted house! It can be totally creepy.
I'd just like to apoligize for the crappy weather though. It's been 5-10 degrees below normal. It's been forever since we've seen 70. Too freakin' cold!

don't know if i'll make it to tour SDSU, but i think we're gonna try and go to TJ.
about the weather, let me tell you, it's better than Indiana, where it's 48 right now, and has been raining all day. it rained about half an hour tonight, right before i left work. it's nice here even when it's crappy! also, there's a dead whale on the beach at camp pendleton. it smells nice, but i didn't get to see it

i should have come down this afternoon. we went to oceanside and ate, and then the guy i'm working with had a bad sinus headache and wanted to sleep it off. after i dropped him off, i went on the beachfront highway up to oceanside, and then down south of carlsbad a bit, then went back to my hotel and vegged out. we went into SD for dinner at the fish market, and then tried to find some bars in the gaslamp quarter, but it'd been so long since he'd been there we couldn't find anything, which is just as well cause we found out we have to work tomorrow. i hope we get off early though, cause i still haven't made it to TJ!
btw, the lambda chi chapter i thought was at SDSU is actually at USD i doubt it'll happen, but if i have a short day the rest of the week, i'll let one of ya'll know.
