Body Parts Found At UF Professor's Home
GAINESVILLE, Fla. -- A University of Florida professor is in jail today after police say they made a grisly discovery inside his home.
Police responded to a domestic disturbance call at Joseph Warner's home and found human and animal body parts. Officials say Warner worked at the Department of Neuroscience and that the body parts could have come from cadavers, but they are are still treating the home like a crime scene.
"The officers were showed two human heads, numerous human brains, human spines, various other parts contained within jars. Also there was a human shoulder with an arm attached in a Tupperware container inside of the garage," said Keith Kameg of the Gainesville Police Department.
So far, Warner has been charged with only one count of domestic violence and one count of unlawfully storing, preserving and transporting human remains
