panhellenic websites
I did a search, but all I could find were individual chapter websites....
Our school recently established an OFFICIAL Panhellenic (it's about time...) and I'm building the website. If any of your schools has a particularly good panhellenic website, can you post the link for me? I'm looking for ideas. So far,the only one I've found that has been beneficial was GA Techs. Thanks and have a great day!

Hey Everybody!
So I've been working pretty hard on the website since I made my original post here. I have uploaded what I've got so far to a random geocities site for comments, constructive criticism, etc. If you are interested in taking a peek, send me a PM and I'll give you the link - I dont want it to be public for EVERYONE to see just yet - just those who are truly interested. Once I have it ironed out, I'll place it on the school server.
Just a few notes for those of you interested - some of the links aren't working yet. I'm still waiting on some specific information from people - and I just havent gotten everything done yet. Also - our school is not predominately greek - so if the way it's written seems like "Greek Life for Dummies" for lack of a better way to put it, it's because we didn't want to say "chapter" and the girls not know what the heck we were talking about.
I have no pictures yet - and quite frankly, it's kinda boring so far If anybody hs any ideas on specific kinds of graphics to put on certain pages, I would really appreciate it.
Thanks in advance.

IT'S POSTED!
Hey Guys! I uploaded the website to the server today. If you guys could take a look at it and let me know if you see any broken links, or pictures that dont work (I had a problem with capital and lowercase file extensions) or anything else that just looks out of whack, please let me know - business cards with this site address are being handed out at orientation today and tomorrow, so I'd appreciate input ASAP so I can make any fixes. THANK YOU!

You might want to mention that dues are per semester.

I would take down the "Financial" part, until GPhiB agrees to participate. It looks weird to have only two chapters, and not have info for one. It also is a flag for them to know which Org's member created the site.

You know - i HAD semester in there, and I changed it to sorority. I didnt even think about that.... haha, I'll change.
and Alpha Frog - The email i received from thier FVP specifically said "Dont worry about us for now - we'll get you our information after we meet on July 15th. You can post yours if you want." I chose to do it this way based on the threadin teh Alpha Xi Delta forum at the advice of 33girl.

I disagree, I think it should be left up. And Alpha Xi Delta did not make this website, panhel did. It's made up of members from BOTH sororities. And especially if information will be available later you should leave it.
You could also put "Coming soon" or "pending"
If the rest of panhel is ok with the site, including the XYZ members, I think that you should leave it. This isn't just for 2 chapters, this is setting a standard and template for AXiD and XYZ as well as for any new chapters on campus for the future. If XYZ knows this will be posted each year in June then they will be more likely to have their numbers available by then.

From what I understand, Greek Life isn't a big deal at SPSU. I'm just worried that if girls see that they have AXiD's dues up there and not GPhiB's, then to the girls who are already anti-Greek life or think that sororities are about buying your friends it will reinforce those stereotypes and may look like AXiD cares more about finances than GPhiB does.

Whether there was1 or 2 dues up there wouldn't change the "buy your friends" crowd, and I think as long as by the beginning of rush the dues for both are there, it'll be fine.

If they're getting you the info before Rush, then it's good, esp if you got their go-ahead. I was under the impression that it was sort of an "indefinite" thing.

Well, i tried and tried and TRIED to get them to give it to me, but they wouldnt. So I was just going to put our numbers as general, but then...I liked 33girl and drolefille's ideas....so I decided to do that.
Panhellenic is being a LONG - HARD process - drama today even. Eventually, everybody will learn to play fair, or everybody will suffer in the end...especially when you make an @$$ of yourself in front of parents at orientation. Thats not just Greek Life you're cutting down - thats SPSU in general. But whatever.
