Active sister
Hi everyone! Hope all is well. Just a quick question. If a younger sibling will be attending the same school where her older sister is an active, does that usually mean they will receive a bid at the same sorority if they continue to keep them at the top of their list during recruitment? Of course, this is assuming that grades and behavior are appropriate!

That's a lot of assumptions. We can't tell you. You'd need to talk with your chapter's recruitment team - if you are the sister who is already in the chapter.

There are far and away too many variables. Is the active well-liked? Is the rushee similar in personality to the chapter members? How competitive is rush at that school?
I would say in VERY round numbers that a chapter would want to bring in the sister and would work for that happen. But there's no saying in real life how that turns out.

Since it is true all membership selection is private, we here cannot give you a specific answer.
The choice of which sorority to join is also up to the younger sibling, who may not desire a place in her older sister's group.

Thanks. I assume I'm well liked, and our rush is competitive. I want to be able to help pave the way if she sees a fit. I think she'd be a great addition!

Have you introduced her to your sisters? Had her for a weekend? Already got them in love with her? If not, why not?

She's coming in two weeks to stay for the weekend and met a bunch of the girls already! She just decided this past week to come to school here. I cannot wait!

OK, so if you are not a troll, Nellie, you are a mother who is going to get the Heli Mom of the Year Award hands down. Back away.

Hi all, this is the mom....and no, the active sister did not post this. Younger daughter doesn't know this site exists and we've been out of town. This could be like the match.com account created for me. Still investigating. Is there a way that I can change a password? Thanks to all. I'm just checking this now and more than slightly embarrassed.
