Double Greek?

Ok y'all,

I gotta question for ya. What is the acceptable amout of frat gear i can put on my truck. I mean, i know the whole 'double greek, double geek' thing, but i was looking to do one of two things:

Either

My crest and a Sigma Nu License plate holder

or my crest and a Sigma Nu Hitch cover (a metal oval with SN in it that fits into the hole on the trailer hitch)

All three is definately out of the question, but am i overdoing it with 2 of the 3?

figured this was the best place to get advice on this topic

Thumbs up

Sounds like your choices are ok. I think it would look silly to have TWO stickers or TWO license plates/holders, but what you have are two different items. Personally, I think the trailer hitch cover sounds awesome, and it would be a nice compliment to your crest sticker.

As far as the license plate, depends on what it looks like. I've seen some that just look funny on their cars (ex: a very "formal-looking" crest plate on a old, falling apart Yugo or colors that clash or even blend in with the color of the car, something like that) {Lord, please don't let anyone flame me for potential offense to what I said just now!!!} I think that it would be tacky to have a license plate holder right above the hitch cover, though.

The hitch cover sounds awesome

On a side note...what kind of truck is it? Being the farm girl that I am, I'm easily impressed by trucks. Maybe thats why I drive one

Allie-

Well, as a farm girl, it might not impress ya too much. It's a 98 Maroon/Tan F150 with a small V8. No crazy grille guards or winches or anything like that. What kind is yours?

I just traded in my 91 Black Bronco on it. The Bronco was the veteran of many a crazy roadtrip.

Yeah, i saw the trailer hitch on Ebay last week and got outbid for it, now i'm tryin to find the company that originally made it. It looks really cool, it's black, with a reflective gold SN.

Kitso,
OMG YOU READ MY MIND!!!!!!

I was thinking of this same topic on the way home today and thought I should start a thread.

I'll be buying a 2003 this year. I'll defintely have my UCSD alumni plate cover and an SK one. The SK one has yet to be purchased because I don't want it clashing with the car. I don't currently have anything on my car because it's a 90 Accord and I rarely wash it.

My question is; Does the SK one go in the front or the back? Would putting an SK sticker on the back windshield, as well, be too much?

This has been bugging me because more people will see the one in the back. But it somehow feels disrespectful to put the SK one in the rear.

HELP!

SoCal-

I don't think it'd be disrespectful to put it in the back. I mean, more people are gonna see it in the back then in the front. I know that i catch myself looking at plate frames in the back more than the ones i see in my rear view mirror.

I'd say to get a SK sticker for the back window and then a UCSD plate holder for the back. You could then put the SK plate on the front, to kinda even it out. I was actually gonna go ahead and put my SN plate holder on the front of my truck, but i lost my front license plate on I35 a couple weekends ago <really glad i didn't now> due to some crazy guy throwing stuff out of the window of his car at 80 m.p.h. As i was trying to get close enough to call the cops on him, he thew something that hit the front of my truck. He then veered INTO the concrete barriar shooting sparks, and then all the across the highway to exit in San Marcos. One of the most insane driving manuevers i've ever seen. But i digress....

Well my truck is my first truck, so she gets treated like a baby It's nothing impressive, a 2001 Ranger, but I take real good care of her. I clean "Big Red" (Like the name? LOL) Every Saturday morning and am always buying things for her. Yesterday I attempted to find some seat covers, but they didn't fit *sigh* Can you tell I really like my truck? LOL

haha, not at all...

For the longest time, we just referred to my Bronco as, 'The Bronco'. Then after a particularly tough roadtrip and subsequent Animal House viewing, we renamed it 'Deathmobile'.

I think i knew it was curtains for it after our Spring Break trip to Daytona Beach this year.

And there is nothing wrong with loving your truck. My new truck is my baby...i've only had it for like 3 weeks and i've washed it like 5 times. The first night we went out in it, my bro decided that he wanted an ice cream cone from McDonald's. After he ordered it, and i gave it further thought, i conveniently 'dropped' it outside the truck.

Since my car isn't something that great to look at (a ford escort wagon--go ghetter), I have the small 2002 150th phi mu anniversary sticker on one of the side windows.

I have a nice crest sticker that i would like to put on my window, but i think i am going to wait, since i plan on purchasing a new car in the next two years.

Trailer hitch sounds awesome, around here (hick-land) there's no such thing as overkill on decals, no matter what. Right now on my '96 Jimmy I have a Ohio University decal, Rio Grande Univeristy decal, a TKE decal, and soon..well..who knows?? Before I got my baby, it looked pretty good..lol

I have 2 small decals on my lower back window, the Greek letters and AGD crest. My license plate is AGDSQL

Side note: We were going through the next town and got behind a van with an AGD license plate and letters in the window. Hubby wanted to know if he should pass her and honk? I just kept smiling until a light bulb went on....

We were in his car that doesn't have an AGD sticker!
