Sad Day at LSU

Just found out that Wally Pontiff, the third baseman for our baseball team, was found dead this morning at his home. From what I've read his mom went in to wake him up and found that he had passed away. It's really sad because he was only 21 years old and would have started his senior year here at LSU this fall. He was the team captain and the only player on the team with CWS experience. He was also a good student and from what I can tell, a really nice guy. Please keep his family, friends, and the LSU community in your thoughts and prayers.

I'm still in shock over it all. I'm friends with two guys who knew Wally really well and spent much of the afternoon comforting them. It's so sad that he was taken from his family at such a young age.

how tragic!!!!!!!!!!!! I didn't follow LSU, but for anyone that age to die is such a loss. I hope his family, friends and team mates can find some peace.

I tried to post but GC was giving me grief. Our paper ran a story today.
