My summer has been INSANE, but in a good way. First, I went cross country for 5 weeks. I saw New Orleans, Austin, Sedona, a lot of Utah (but that was during the geology field course that I was going out west for in the first place - and I got a B+ - Yay!), Las Vegas, the Grand Canyon, Yosemite, Death Valley, San Francisco, Santa Cruz, Reno, Cheyenne, Kansas City, St. Louis, etc. It was amazing! Seeing the Pacific Ocean for the first time, I just had to listen to my Beach Boys greatest hits! I am so BROKE now

, but it was totally worth it.
Now I am back in Charleston, working and doing an independent study in geology (which translates to almost no cash!). And I am living with our VP III, which means I have been recruited to help with all kinds of stuff for recruitment.

But really I don't mind.
July will be cool. I am going to Myrtle Beach for 4 days to meet my boyfriend's family.

I'm a little nervous, but at least I get to hang out at a beach house for a few days for free. Then after that, I am flying to Oregon for a week to do field work on my independent study. And it's all expense paid thanks to a generous research grant.

I love being a science major!!
Then after that (that's right, there's more), my boyfriend is taking me to Atlanta to see - get this - David Lee Roth and Sammy Hagar in concert. He is more excited about this than I am b/c he is the resident 80's guy, but I just don't have the heart to tell him that I kinda could care less about going.
Then the weekend after that, my stepbrother is getting married. He's the first of any of my siblings to get hitched, so that's a little scary. Makes me feel old.
Then I move back into the Zeta house, start rush workshop, start class, and then start recruitment! Whew!
