Cool Alpha Xi Delta in National Geographic!

Check out the June 2002 National Geographic! In their monthly "ZipUSA" feature, NG went to Ames, Iowa, home of Iowa State University. On page 134, they write: "GIRLS VERSUS BOYS: Sophomore Alexandra Kordick gets the good news: The sisters of Alpha Xi Delta have come to her room in Friley Hall with balloons, a rose, and a bid to join their sorority. She feels she has outgrown the coed dorms. `I want to be able to walk down the hall barefoot and not contract some deadly disease,' she says. `The boys are the worst -- they're loud, and they're just naturally smelly.'" Ah, dorm life! There's a close-up of Alexandra, looking very happy, and some other Alpha Xi Delta sisters in the background. Hooray for our Iowa State women for getting sorority-related press that's not negative!!
