Wink How many NPC sororities can you name?!

I got reaaalllly bored last night, and decided to try to name all 26 NPC sororities... and I came pretty close! (we only have 7 on our campus)

I named 22...
I have met someone in 14 of them... which I think is pretty cool! (7 that we dont have in Clarion!!!)

Try it! Its quite fun!! hehe

Ill post the 4 I missed later!!!

Cool

I was able to name 23 right off the bat. After thinking really hard for another few minutes, I got the other 3.
Pretty dorky, huh?

I got 23! Which is pretty good, considering I don't know people in most of them, and my school only has 2 NPC sororities!

There are several sororities that used to be a part of the NPC...some merged with larger groups. In addition, several Association of Educational Sororities (AES) groups joined the NPC or merged, then joined the NPC.

One that is still around is Kappa Beta Gamma - they are found at Catholic/Jesuit universities. There are at least 3 or 4 chapters still in existence.

Maybe Barb knows for sure but I guess that it is possibly Iota Alpha Pi. They are somewhat of a mystery to me. I haven't seen anything stating that they merged with anyone like Theta Upsilon or Beta Sigma Omicron did.

I forgot to respond to the original question. I am a nerd. I can name all 26 plus a few defunct members. I can name their colors, flowers, mascots/symbols and on occassion the founding dates and schools.

Iota Alpha Pi was chartered as a historically Jewish sorority in 1903, in New York. Maybe they merged with another NY-based historically Jewish group?

Any SDT or AEPhi sisters around that might know? DPhiE, PSS or AOPi are other likely candidates.

My Baird's Manual is from 1930 - maybe someone has a later version that gives the whole story.

I found a reference to IAPi in the University of Illinois Panhellenic Archives, in their 1960-69 listing, so it looks like there were still active chapters as of 30 or so years ago. I also found a reference to an IAPi chapter at the University of Manitoba.
