Official Beer Pong Thread

I just felt like making this thread since there are so many different styles of play. What’s everyone’s preferred style of play? Does your house have any special rules? Etc.

I prefer to play Singles with Double Cups. If you get a knock (ball hits cup but doesn’t go in) defending player must drink half his beer. If you get a sink (ball goes into cup) defending player must chug his beer. Oh by the way I play with paddles I will never understand people that just toss the ball with their hands.

Same here. We use paddles too. My neighbors have a table too but they use their hands too which is retarded. Its twice as fun to use paddles. I actually make a pretty good table, I made a couple for some guys in the chapter and I think they will all get passed down through the chapter. Hell I might come back up here when Im 50 to go to homecoming and see one of those tables.

At my husbands fraternity they place beer cans on the table. If the ball taps the can you have to take a swig. If the ball moves the can you have to slam a beer. They play with paddles too.

I'm not a beer drinker but it's pretty funny to watch.

we play by throwing here. I 've never even heard of using paddles. The only generaly accepted rule is that your elbow has to be behind the table. Sometimes, but mostly just girls, will be allowed to blow the ball out of the cup if its circling on the side. I prefer to play doubles though.

we don't play beerpong, instead preferring "beirut" (aka "retarded throwing with the hands" - thanks BMac) . . . mostly b/c we have a hard enough time keeping balls around, paddles would be too much for my short attention span to find and set up in the basement.

We have a pretty sweet table, and some intense games - we usually play 2 beers/person, in 6 cups/person, usually doubles but at times singles. Each team throws both balls, only 'sinks' count, drink the cup. If one side makes both shots, they get both balls back ("rolling back"), and the losing side must finish any cups left on the winning side.

We have slightly different rules for the yearly tournament - generally this invokes the "winners lose" bracketology, where the winners have knock a can back too after each victory, leading to the funniest final game possible.
