New Sorority on Campus--How to make a good impression

Hi ladies,
There's a new sorority coming to my campus next year and I would really like to be a part of it. I know a bit about how the normal formal recruitment process works, and have gone to some info sessions about this new sorority. I'm wondering if anyone has any tips or advice that would help me to show that I would be a good founding member. Thanks in advance

Be yourself--the best version of yourself. That means--dress neatly, take time to groom yourself, and be polite. Keep an open mind, and remember just because you go through recruitment for a colony doesn't guarantee you a spot!

Please see these two previous threads re: colony recruitment. They pretty much cover all the questions you've asked.

Also, just as a note I don't care if you are Suzy PNM who's dad is a CEO of a Fortune 500, mom runs the local Junior League and knows every woman who's a member of the colonizing group, you have a 4.0 GPA, are in every student org as a leader and still make time to go out and know half of campus -- this does not guarantee you a bid. When my chapter colonized we had 400+ women interview, and only 200 received bids. It is a unique mix of well-rounded women and group chemistry that makes a good colony, so the colony team has full discretion to do as they want and take who they want. Just keeping your eyes fully open to what could occur.

While it may or may not be a requirement, you might try finding a recommendation to the group. It might give the colonizing team more information/insight on you.

Also, if you went through formal recruitment and withdrew, be ready to answer questions about that experience.
