Greetings!
I'm a 1982 initiate of a large fraternity and was an active alumni volunteer for almost 20 years, including service on our national council. My interest in Greek life was rekindled last summer when my daughter decided to attend and rush at a "super competitive" SEC school. I'm pleased to say that it went swimmingly; she will be initiated next Saturday and couldn't possibly be happier.
Even with my Greek background on the fraternity side, I wasn't fully prepared for the intensity of that experience and the parental stress it induced. GreekChat provided a great resource during that time, and I look forward to contributing what I can to the discussions.
