Fear Factor
Has anyone else seen this new reality-based show? This is the second episode that I've seen, and as I type this some guy is in a large glass aquarium just covered in meal worms. This is sickening, how can these people go through this for so little cash?

I know, eh? What the hell are these people thinking? That challenge(test?) with the rats was horrible. The idiot host from "news radio" is good for a few laughs though.

I thought I knew him from somewhere!!! Thanks Nick. Did you guys notice that other than newbie, only Candians have responded . But I digress...
I felt bad for the Ballerina Vegitarian chick. They probably knew she was a veggie and she would never eat the worms. That was nasty tho. My boyfriend was all disappointed no one actually ended up having to eat a worm .
i thought the last 'challenge' was a bit lame. It didn't seem nearly as death defying as the last challenge on the sunday show. Either way, for 50 thousand dollars, I'll sit safely infront of Regis and isolate the correct 'final answer', thank you very much. I think 'phoning a friend' or falling off that big 'ol chair on millionaire is about all the risk i'd be willing to take. To allow them to suspend me over a huge canyon, hanging off a taxi cab, they better be offering me WAY more than a measly 50K!!!

Leslie! Holy S#@T where the hell have you been?
Not sure why the yanks haven't replied, maybe the show hasn't been advertised as much in the states as it has been here.
But seriously, i mean let's look at the jackpot of this show compared to some of the others. There's only a 1 in 6 chance you'll win the $50,000 which would probably be spent on therapy fixing the nightmares you have afterwards, e.g. the rats.
Also, it's not like these contestants are gonna be famous from this show and have the chance to do commercials or movies.
Meanwhile, our buddy joe gets a front row seat of the action and gets to throw in the odd remark. Like when he said to the blonde chick who screamed at the rats, "they can't understand english"
The reality shows that make fun of their contestants are the best. That broad from the weakest link is great; she's margaret thatcher met chris rock.

hahahahaha, sorry Nick, I just thought it was funny--the "eh" thing is very Canadian, I guess .
Leslie and Nick, actually, Fear Factor was promoted here in the U.S. a LOT. I bet you that there was at least one commercial per every show on NBC promoting th eshow!!
About Weakest link...man that woman annoys the heck outta me. Grrrrrr. how she can be THAT mean i don't know!

C'mon carolyn, ya gotta give that bitch her due, she's quick with the insults.
And she does acknowledge the top players with respect and curtesy.

Hahahaha actually carolyn I threw that "eh" in just for a ruse. I don't think I say it any more than anyone else, whether they work for the greenback or the monopoly money.

Hey nick we're on at the same time!! d you have AIM???
That b*tch does not desrve any credit, IMO . I don't know why she's sooooo high up on herself!! Did you see the SNL skits on her? LOL. They showed her as a deprived child.
And I think she's secretly mad when top players win .
Hehee, do you have the Canadian accent?? Oh, and I will write back soon, I promise (e-mail)!! Sorry for being so late, I am so behind with other e-mails, too!

what's AIM?
sorry sweetie, I used to be on the q all the time when I had my sweet sweet cable...but yadda yadda yadda I don' use the internet much on this slow connection and garbage computer.
I still think the queen of bitchiness is just acting, but she does make me laugh, which entices me to watch.
What is a Canadian Accent? We all have accents, and of course Canada (like the states) has many different accents. Newfie accents are very distinct and sound awful, but they are probably the nicest people you'll ever meet.
Like I said, I've met Canadians from out West and tons of American at my work. Remember what I was saying about that American dude from California? If you were sitting in a car with the two of us, you probably couldn't tell that we were from two completely different regions. However, I do use vernacular and slang that is common in my area that you probably wouldn't hear anywhere else in Ontario.

LOL Nick,
AIM is AOL Instant Messaging. You don't need aol to use it, you just need a modem connection!! It's online chat! Very fun !Go to www.aol.com , and they will have a link to download AIM (that is, if you're patient enough ). The dl doesn't take that long, but from your "crappy" modem, LOL, I'm not exactly sure . What is the "q" that you mentioned in yuour first line of the post?
I do have to admit Nick--I watch it, LOL. BUT--sometimes I start swearing at that woman, LOL.
Oh, I don't know about Canadian accents...but read my thread "Accents?" --you'll see what I mean . Sisterplum here on GC is from Newfoundland!! She is very sweet.
What's vernacular? About the guy from Cali, I forgot what you said--I must check the email again .

LOL, Nick, not to pick on you or anything, but there were a few "ehs" in your email--don't worry, I think it's cute! Also, is a "broad" supposed to be a girl? LOL

Yeah no kidding, i'm just waiting for somebody to tell her off after hearing her remorseless "goodbye".
The q is icq, much better than AIM. Mind you I have no basis for comparison.
Vernacular is just a big word for slang.
