Rice For Vice?
Quote:
America’s first black female secretary of state is quietly positioning herself to be the top choice of the eventual Republican presidential nominee, ready to deliver bona fide foreign-policy credentials lacking among the candidates. The 56-year-old has recently raised her profile, releasing her memoir in November and embarking on a monthlong book tour.
After 2 1/2 years as a professor at Stanford, Miss Rice is reportedly getting “antsy” to get back into the political game. “She’s ready to go,” said one top source.

What do you all think? I'd love to see a Biden/Rice debate.... Or dare I say I'd love to see Rice own Biden in a VP debate.

She'd clean the floor with any of the wingnuts in the Republican field right now. As a Democrat I'm glad she's not running. But she still has the taint of being either unethical or incompetent and you don't really get to choose a third choice. She oversaw the darkest period in our foreign policy history and although she was probably just doing as ordered to gain power, that actually makes it worse. She chose power over honesty and was proven lacking. On the other hand, my guess is she's pretty moderate in general and I think we're safe from her hosting any prayer vigils for rain.
But this is going to live with her for a long time

I fail to see how that article would be damning to Rice. The intelligence community may have known that Al-Queda was planning a terrorist attack on U.S. interests but the who (other than Osama), what, where, and when was never known or fully understood. Most were expecting Osama to pull off an embassy attack but if we are going to play the blame game we shouldn't leave out President Clinton, who "let Bin Laden go" in the late 90's.

I think she's referencing Iraq and the non-existing WMDs, not 9/11.

Rice > Biden
I like Condoleezza Rice. I would love to see which Republican Presidential candidate she is teamed up with. That would give Obama-Biden a run for their money. Depending on the details, Rice, et al. could get my vote.

I would love to be able to sit in on her class at Stanford. I think it would be interesting to hear her take in a classroom.

Excellent. George Bush's administration was really a shining example of competent foreign policy.

I thought the neo-con ideology was dead in the water?
