What would you really get?

Sorhors and Greek friends,

Now that you are a member of your organization what is that oh so special gift (nalia) that you really wanted but did not or have not received as yet?

I've always wanted someone to design and create that ultimate painting that isn't easy to duplicate or mass copy for all of the members of the D9 or rather the ladies of the D4 so much of the artwork is the same with different colours and hand signs. I'm still in search of that masterpiece that is out there and waiting for me to pick it up and add it to my collection.

Talking

I bought some T shirts that are like no other at Boule!

Holy Ghost7, I thought about you when I was nalia shopping at Boule, honestly I did. And If I had the money I would have gotten you a Boule shirt.

Yawa Bookstore (from DC) was there and they have some interesting and creative things. We are going to have to go uptown sometime soon together.

I still want:

an umbrella - my son stepped on the one I had
a cane
a big stuffed poodle! anyone know where I can find one?

Thank for thinking about me at Boule soror

I have been blessed a lot of people have been thinking about me. My soror brought me back a couple pins and some oh so cute poodle socks !!!

Now how about this...where are all those older sorors who have no need for some of their nalia and want to pass it down to the neos...can you all give me a ring

As far as the t-shirts go...i give up collegecrib.com is off the hook but they are always out of stock with the items that i want!! But good looking out soror, you are working that modeling career

Sorhors,

I had to travel to the small wonder (Delaware) for several days and it was good seeing my family members and friends. I would like to give a special Sigma out to Sorhor Angela King for all of her warmth and just showing a sorhor some sigma love ! Anyway, Sorhor HolyGhost7 I heard and I saved you a small poodle for your collection. I just wanted to say at the University of Delaware, Newark, Delaware there is a greek shop called Unique Impressions and they have a lot of nalia for Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. they even have an abundance of the stuff animal poodles in gray, black, and blue and gold. Their merchandise is very reasonable and you don't have to pay a sales tax because Delaware is a tax free state. Everything that they have for the sororities that were founded at HU they have for Sigma in numerous quantities. Sorors if you really want to get the address to Unique Impressions - my email address is kquarles22@msn.com. I have asked the administrators of Greek Chat to fix my pm box but so far my pm is still reading full and I don't have any messages.

Smile Thank you

Thank you Soror Kim

I have the same problem with my in-box. I also have problems posting! So if you all have been sending me messages, etc. don't think I don't want to respond. I just have not been able to.

I can't wait to go to Delaware!

Sorhors and Greekfriends,

The address for "Unique Impressions" is 60 North College Ave, Newark, Delaware 19711 and phone number is 302-738-7933.
They also have a website address and catalog but I don't remember the web address. She (Donna, the owner) really has everything for Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. that she has for the other three sororities of the D9 and there is no, no, no, and again I repeat no sales tax in state of Delaware. You are gonna really enjoy that shop! When you enter the state of Delaware the slogan is "The home of tax free shopping!"

goodies

I want to see more 'nalia with yellow roses on it, instead of poodles.

Also, I want some NICE picture frames. Not cheap platic ones.

And a visor. I bought a hat, but I rarely wear it, every time I see a Soror with a visor, I want to try and arrange a trade

And more paper goods that are classy, not tacky. I have found post it notes that I like, but I want a fridge note pad [with a magnet on the back] and note cards [with the Greek Letters, or perhaps the seal, NOT a cartoony poodle. Sometimes you need to send a nice thank you, and want to show your affiliation with out being cutesy.]

I'm sure I'll think of more later.

Poodles!

Well, let's see......

1. In the early-mid 80's khaki shirts with your letters/chapter and semester of crossing were very popular. I've always wanted one. Yes, I know I am dating myself.....

2. More jewelry too!!!! I'm partial to dogs, so I don't mind all the poodles. Without revealing too much, I just found out that we are getting a new jeweler. Hopefully there will be a formal announcement soon. I'm really excited about it!!!!

3. I really like to needlepoint, so a really nice SGR needlepoint canvas.

4. Sweat pants with SGR on the leg. I always thought they looked cool.

5. This is not really a want anymore, but I can understand the desire to have more t-shirts. When I was an undergrad I had a few made and a couple of sweaters. Since then, I've purchased a few more - especially at the last Regional. With so many greek stores out there the prices are more reasonable ($12 - $15) and the quality is better.

6. Lots of little stuff that you really don't think about until you see it. There are new styles of pin boxes, notepads, mugs and tumblers.

All in all I really have to pace myself when it comes to purchasing 'nalia. I can easily spend way too much. Plastic money is so great.
