Big Girls Club

We know, Ali!

Congratulations on doing all your shots, and I forgive you for crying at home and waking my underaged butt up. And by the way, I do love you.

You forgot to put in the best quote from our chapter: "MY dad does that to cows!!!"

Happy birthday, again!

LITP and PSLAM

It's not a real paddle, it's a gold, charm paddle. On the front are engraved the PSS letters, and on the back we get a message for the person. It's a tradition to represent that you are now 21.

I've actually not heard yet about Paddles-
I really doubt they'd do that in our chapter...someone want to explain the signifigance behind them?

Thanks!
Jess

Question

It seems like a few people are confused about this. Including me. But it sounds like a really cool thing between sisters and would like to know more about the paddle lavalier. A lot of girls in our chapter will be joining the "big girls club" this year including myself. YEAH!!! anyways...and I would like to tell the sisters about this. Thanks.

Paddle Laviliers!

To clear up anything:

The paddle that I recieved on my birthday was a gold paddle lavilier, to replace my normal lavlier. It is tradition in the Gamma Gamma chapter that once a sister turns 21, you get the paddle charm from someone in your family, or a close friend (in my family, the little buys it for her big) okies?

If you want to see them, BPA has them in the catalog, along with most jewlery stores, or Greek catalogs!!!

I think most sororities around here do it....

I understand now...that's a cute tradition...but like i said my chapter is freaky about any kind of paddle imagery. I bought that paddle charm for myself at LTS 3 summers ago(it said it was for recruitment)..I got back and everyone told me i couldn't put it on my badge...so i left it somewhere and now it is lost...and to think, i was 21 at that time (actually all the actives in my chapter are already over 21 so it's a bit late to start the tradition)
