Good Day, All. Given this is Black History month I wanted to pass this along. My late-great Aunt, The Honorable Verda Freeman-Welcome became the first black female state senator for America! She's my hero and an inspirational icon for all. She's also a notable Delta who's hallmark accomplishment was giving Morgan State College university status thus the name Morgan State University.
