cross stitch gifts

I am a new sorority mom. Could anyone help me find a good source for cross stitch books/kits to make for 2 different sororities? I found one but they do not have individual sample of what I am ordering. Thanks for any help.

Sometimes Ebay will have patterns. Also, you could just cross stitch their sorority flowers or sorority mascot. I did a google search and I found a few hits.

Try a needlepoint store. A few of them here in the Houston area specialize in needlepoint canvases, but they may carry a few cross stitch patterns. Or, they may be able to help you order one.

You could also mention which sorority pattern you need - someone hear may have the pattern and send you a copy.

The kits come with just the chart and the symbol button that the angel holds. You provide the backing fabric and pillow insert.

I found this link, though: http://stitch4u.com/Cross_Stitch_Kits.htm They've got all 26 NPC sororities, all 4 NPHC sororities, plus a few others, and a bunch of fraternities.

The Creative Keepsakes/Social Greek Series pamphlets are still available on Ebay every so often. I searched there just now and saw the TriDelt and Sigma Kappa pamphlets up for auction. http://shop.ebay.com/i.html?_nkw=sor...itch&_osacat=0 These books are probably out of print as I bought the KKG one back in the 80s. I was able to obtain the Pi Phi one within the last couple of years. Each pamphlet has many letter and mascot/flower/symbol designs.

Yup. Fraternities like "Sigma Alpha Me" and symbols for Sororities like "Pi Beta hi". It needs a little bit of review, but a good resource none the less.

For my own fraternity, I think Alpha Phi Omega's National Office actually sold a cross-stitch pattern, but I can't find it in the on-line store. I know they have in the past.

Contacting the National Office of the Sorority is also an option. I would expect of all of the things that a sorority sells, that this would be one most likely to be able to be sold to moms, aunts and so on.
