stubhub.com

Has anyone ever sold or bought tickets through stubhub? I need to sell two NKOTB tickets and I just put them on there.

We bought Red Sox playoff tix last year, and paid ridiculously high "service fees". They claim guaranteed shipment by event time and we received them the DAY OF the event (despite ordering them 6 days prior).

I don't understand how it's illegal to sell tix at any or X amount above face value (ie. scalping), yet these brokers buy blocks of tix and resell them at double the original cost.

I've bought tickets through Stubhub. I usually just look at the regular ebay listings though. I've found it a lot easier to buy through ebay so I now avoid Stubhub. That's just me though. I'm sure your tickets will be fine listed on SH.

Good luck!

i bought from them once, nothing too horrible, they just didn't really impress me at all and seemed kind of pricey.

Selling tickets on there, I don't know. You'll probably get something for them though.

We buy off stubhub all the time. I've never sold anything. I find it a great source for last minute tickets.

The service fees should be illegal. It is illegal for a season ticket holder to charge more than a certain percentage over the face value in most areas. The ticket agensies should have the same laws but they don't.

Doesn't the NFL have a deal with one of the online ticket agencies to legally scalp?

I just recently bought Penguins tickets from there. It was about a $30-40 service fee. I received my tickets a few weeks ago though, and the game isn't until December, so I didn't have a problem with timing at all.

I know a lot of my friends have bought Sox and Pats tickets from there, and they say they like it, although the service fees obviously aren't fun to deal with.

It's *almost* the only way to get tickets to the Sox or the Pats, though a few times I was able to get Sox tickets the same day, on the morning of the game. Unfortunately, I don't have $300 for a Pats ticket. Otherwise, I'd be all over that stadium!

ha, precisely!

My brother lucked out a couple years ago and somehow got 2 fairly good tickets, $150 each, on Ebay to the Pats home opener. But it's not like THAT's gonna happen again.

Stubhub is great for the last second tickets. At the last minute, the scalpers are trying to get what they can just to make some money off of the tickets. Other than that, E-bay is a great way to get tickets online.

Wow, buddy, it's been a few. Glad you're still posting on the board.

I've never used Stubhub, but I've heard good things. The tickets can get kind of steep, but I think it's increased availability.
