Thumbs up Meal Plan Menus

Hello,

My chapter has about 34 brothers on meal plan. We do Sunday Dinner though Friday lunch. We have recently switched caterers, and I'm the new Stew. I'm looking for new meal plan ideas. Different foods, ect. If anyone is interested, I will give you my excel sheet with our first months food (only 2 repeat meals). Our caterer charges 4/lunch and 7/dinner (so you have an idea about what kind of price range I'm looking for).

I'm sure there are other chapters that have a caterer bring the meals (our kitchen isn't leagally big enough to have a cook), so I'm hopeing to get some new meal ideas.

Thanks So much

I would go for simple, uncomplicated meals, but if you can go two months w/out repeat i think you are doing great. Ask brothers to bring ideas from home.

I ate at TKE and their house mom repeated meals...i guess like every 2 mo or so. except for the good ones, they came up more often. Good luck!

Something I remember from being house manager is that I needed to check on food allergies. Obviously you don't want to be having your cook making something that could potential kill one of your members. I agree with Little E, get ideas from the brothers - ie. favorite meals from home, etc.
