Fall Rush

How is rush going for everyone? Our chapters are ALL doing very well, and I'm curious if that is a general trend?

as a rushie it didnt go so well for me. I focused on one chapter the first weeks before rush (the number 1 mistake) and that fell through so during rush week i was scurrying around trying to meet enough people from the chapters that i was also interested in. In the end i didnt meet enough guys in the two i ended up rushing (we had unformal rush so i could only go to a couple events for only a couple houses), but was told by a few houses to meet more people this semester and try again in the spring, which is what im going to do. This is probably a blessing in disguise because i now have a chance to relax and really put quality effort in trying to find a chapter that fits me best.

I hope it goes well for you in the future, but I was looking for chapter/system rush trends, not individual stories. Good luck finding the right fraternity for you.

I've got some Sigma Chi numbers I will post later.

From Delta Chi's website, their top 5 groups:

Arizona State 30
South Florida 30
Michigan State 29
Long Beach State 28
Texas Tech 28

http://deltachi.org/ More on their website.

Alpha Kappa Lambda also lists recruitment numbers publicly.http://akl.org/recruitmentdata/index.html

I wish more members of NIC would do this. Just interesting to see how everybody is doing.

Do you have Arkansas'?

I've heard rumors of as many as 64 and as few as 56.

I don't know about nationally, but on our campus numbers are down huge past two years. Fall classes are always small but still...tenative number for us is 5 which is the top number on campus this rush...pitiful.
Looking for 20 in the spring, or graduation is going to hurt.

Thanks.

Sigma Nu had a veeeeeeeeerrry interesting rush this year. I know for a fact that the 50 number is at least really 48. Maybe less.

It started at 50.

I know one ol' boy got balled, so that's 49. Could be less now.

I take it you heard the story?

"Get in there, or you're cut"

"Mommy, they were so mean to me!"

They gave out 50 on bid day, but that doesn't necessarily mean that everyone wants to show up and go there. On Bid Day it's inevitable lose one or two. They lost another as well that quit the day of.
