Cool Back in action

Hello again everyone! Now the semester is getting started and I've had time to get myself orgnanized, so I am back with GreekChat. I haven't posted in a while.

I am in Nebraska right now, with the wonderful women of Beta Alpha. This chapter house is just amazing. I have never been in one that is more beautiful! They have this lush, red carpet and just beautiful furniture and TONS of history. Sandy - you'd be in heaven. They were founded in 1927 and their chapter house used to be the Chancellor's. His daughter was an Alpha Gam at this chapter, so when they moved he gave it to the chapter so they'd have somewhere to live together. It's been added on to, but it's still here! Amazing!

My last chapter was Epsilon Mu in Kansas, and they were so great! They had an awesome recruitment and made quota, inviting 8 women into their "Squirrel Clan," as they call it. :-) It was so much fun!

I also have been to our Theta Beta Chapter in Montgomery, Alabama. That was an excellent visit as well! Those Southern women.....they're great! They haven't had recruitment yet, and I am eager to hear their results.

I think my favorite part of the job so far is on my travel days. Not only do I get some alone time (and sleep!), there are so many good stories that come from airport experiences. It would really make a good book. If you are ever feeling down about yourself, go to the airport. Old men will hit on you. Sometimes it a little scary, but it's still a pick-me-up. Ha ha. Just don't let them give you presents. I had one give me a book. I think he had been at the bar all day......like I said...scary!

So, those are some stories from the "trenches." Recruitment is such a hard time of year! Everyone hang in there and Good Luck! I am thinking about all of you!

Jenny

Long time no see Jenny!

Hey Jenny, I am so happy you're having a great time. It's nice to see you again! I am so jealous of your job...you get to travel around and represent AGD while I'm stuck here worrying about senior year.

I can't wait to hear more Leadership Consultant Confessions LOL

Hey Jenny! I hope you're having a wonderful time in Nebraska! It's great to see you back! Keep us posted on how things are going. I too am jealous of you being able to travel everywhere! Melissa emails me and tells me about how things are going everywhere she goes and here I am in Dahlonega GA- population 50 (j/k, but it is extremely small and you have to rely on campus orgs to offer things to do because there's not much to do here). So have fun and enjoy yourself! We'll be thinking about you!
