MTV's America's Best Dance Crew

OK, so this really may be the coolest dance show I've ever watched. Granted I've been watching for a few weeks now, these groups are absolutely amazing. I'm a HUGE fan of So You Think You Can Dance, but this is extra cool to me since the groups come up with their own choreography. So great.

Ok, bumping to the top because Season 2 started the other day with the live auditions.

I never paid attention to Season 1 because I just didn't have time to watch yet another TV show, but because I couldn't sleep last night, I ended up watching 2 hour (or was it an hour and half?) live auditions.

Everybody's been Jabbawockeez this, Jabbawockeez that since Season 1 ended and I finally got to see them perform last night.

The cheese factor's through the roof, but I'll probably end up watching because of JC and Mario.

Thoughts?

The fact that the Jabbawockeez' (z's?) rival dance crew from the Bay Area was competing kinda raised an eyebrow. The rivals don't even rate, IMO.

And LOL @ the Rutgers' Dance Team. THEY. GOT. BOOED. I don't know how they advanced to the next round. The Latinas weren't the greatest, but they definitely were not cheerleader-y. All them damn cheerleaders need to go.

I'll be exciting to see the deaf guy dance this season, that's for sure.

co-sign! I was surprised to see the Cheerleaders get the spot over Shh! (the latina group).

I might be the only one, but I hate JC. I mean, i loved him in NSYNC, but he annoys me.

I laughed when the Jabberwockees' rivals tried to act like they didn't get beaten in the street battle.

JC annoys me too because he's really cocky. I don't know what JC and Lil Mama do behind the scenes that qualifies them to judge but Lil Mama is more supportive of the teams even when she's being brutally honest.

Its probably because they "dance" in their videos, who knows! lol. I don't have much of a problem w/ Lil Mama, but I can't stand JC giving out advice. Being in NSYNC doesn't mean you have a dance background.

I forgot that he was on the Mickey Mouse Club. Don't they do some singing and dancing?

Lil Mama (aka Lil Bow Wow's twin sister) dances a lot in her videos and I'm sure she's paid her dues behind the scenes. I have to remind myself of that when she is being critical.

I like the choreographer dude.

They did music videos too.

Still, they had a choreographer on the MMC and when he was in NSYNC. Wade Robson and Darren (Henson?) come to mind.

I saw the JabbaWockeez on a preview for ABDC, and they looked familiar....I just realized that saw them on America's Got Talent.

I do like the boogie bots even though they are like a low budget version of the JabbaWockeez. I also like the group with Joey the deaf performer because they remind me of Kabba Modern. Other than that the rest of them are just wack!! They really need to replace JC as a judge he just seems so stale when he gives his opinion and Mario Lopez is such a cheesy host.

I agree. I love the Boogie Bots and the team with the deaf guy. I really didn't like the Jabbawockeez rival crew. As for Shh!! I think they got cheated. The Rutgers dance team were not that great. But I can't wait til the 19th for the show to start again.

I watched all of the 1st season but have been unable to keep up thus far on season 2. Are the groups any good?

omg this girl group x7 is AWFUL. they need to go home. they look like a PCD knockoff. and one of the girls in the back was WAY off. she wasnt even dancing with the rest of the group.
