^^^ Funny that you say that. There's a special Alabama soRHOr that I met at my first ATL Greek Picnic as a soRHOr. It was her first picnic, too. How about we're still in touch to this day, and we were both kinda misty reminiscing about connecting with each other?

We also were amazed at the growth of the event. We met when it was virtually a Blue and Gold picnic. Maybe 500 - 800 people were there that day...including Grand Basileus Helen J. Owens who was in town and passed through on her way out of town. Now, I hear there might be 10,000 folks, but it was fun. There's a LOT of folks these days, and yes... it was hot but relatively mild for June in GA.

But it was cool being with a huge group of soRHOrs watching the Pretty Poodles of Metro Atlanta just...wow! They repRHOsented.

Sorhor Jojapeach,

I just love our former Grand Basileus Soror Helen Owens it was wonderful eating lunch with her at the 50th anniversary for Brown vs. Board of Education in DC. I was one of the lucky Sorhors to sit and eat lunch at the table with our Grand Basileus. Soror Owens is a wonderful person, classy, beautiful inside and out, and words cannot express how much I admire her. I also love my former Syntaktes and current Grand Basileus, Dr. Mynora J. Bryant. I've spent many a days at her home, office, and chapter meetings. She's just simply golden.

Sorhor Jojapeach and any other sorhor reading this thread that attended the Greek Picnic in Atlanta thanks again for sharing your experiences, memories, stories, video links and positive comments with viewers in our message board.

You know... I totally hate people who are "sore winners" (just as much as I hate those who are "sore losers")...so in that spirit, I totally don't want to sound like a sore winner...
BUT HANDS DOWN, NO DEBATES ABOUT IT---Sigma Gamma Rho KILLED that stRHOll competition! EEEEEEEEEEEEEE-yip!
