Olive Riley, 107, who lived near Sydney, Australia, died on July 12, 2008 - but not before leaving two separate blogs about her life.

I haven't read them in entirety yet, but Olive used a couple helpers to record her own oral history in what she called her "blobs". The one helper, Mike, reports this at her funeral:
"I remembered too that Ross (a great-grandson) was a fan of the blog, unlike other members of the family for reasons I’ll never fathom.
"Well, I do have a theory about that.
"Before the blog came along, Olive belonged just to them. Now she belongs to the world as well, and that can be threatening.
"Today, they wanted it as a goodbye to the family Olive, not to the global blogger, which was fair enough."
