Jenna Bush Weds
Though I am not a big fan of her father, but she is a sister!
The story is below as is a link to a bunch of pictures! I love her gown!
Wedding Pictures
Story:
CRAWFORD, Tex. — President Bush’s daughter Jenna Welch Bush on Saturday married Henry Chase Hager, a graduate student and son of a former Virginia lieutenant governor, before 200 relatives and close family friends here, the White House confirmed.

The evening wedding capped a weekend of festivities, including a Friday night rehearsal dinner and parade in honor of the couple in the nearby town of Salado.
Although the Bush family kept up a strict zone of privacy around the events, the tiny town of Crawford made merry on its own. Souvenir shops hung banners wishing Ms. Bush, 26, and Mr. Hager, 30, well. Jenna-and-Henry coffee mugs, mouse pads and coasters flew off the shelves. One shop served wedding cake.
On Saturday afternoon, the Hager family hosted wedding guests at a barbecue in Salado. The wedding, which began at 7:30 p.m., took place on the Bush ranch, before a white limestone altar erected next to a man-made lake. The Rev. Kirbyjon Caldwell of Windsor Village United Methodist Church in Houston officiated at the ceremony. Mr. Caldwell, a longtime religious adviser to Mr. Bush, has endorsed Senator Barack Obama.
The bride wore a beaded organza dress, with a small train, designed by Oscar de la Renta, the White House said. Her attendants wore cocktail dresses the colors of wildflowers, designed by Lela Rose. The first lady, Laura Bush, wore deep turquoise. The men wore suits and ties.
The president and first lady were scheduled to speak about the nuptials and release photographs on Sunday morning before returning to Washington.

That dress is GORGEOUS! She looks exactly like her father - wow! And, her sister's dress is...interesting.

I have to admit, I felt somewhat ripped off that Jenna didn't want a White House wedding, and that the security was so tight. But when you've grown up at the Bush Ranch, with that amazing cross and altar at your disposal, well, I think she made the best decision!

I believe the cross and altar were built for the ceremony. I love her dress - but I can't believe Barbara's - she is such a pretty girl, and that dress is awkward.

My fiancée just about fell out of and off her chair this evening when she saw the pictures of the ring.
I had seen the story but had not looked at the photo links.
The ring that Jenna received is just about the same as what I presented to my fiancée!

The only different is that her stones were purple rather than blue.
Photo is somewhere in Ring Thread.

While I generally don't care much about this sort of thing, I wish the newlyweds well and commend them for not having a super-public White House ceremony, etc.

Ditto. Jenna's dress is wonderful. Kinda what I imagined I might pick out. Barbra's leaves a lot to desire. I wonder if Jenna was one of those brides that picked out ugly attendant dresses she they wouldn't steal the bride's spotlight. It almost looks like some kind of modified toga.

I didn't get Barbara's dress! It did not seem to suit her at all! I did like Laura's! It seem very fitting and beautiful for a mother of the bride.

Barbara's dress was a little odd. I would love to see a picture of the 14 women in the house party. BTW, what exactly is a house party, is this just another term for bridesmaids?

Barbara's dress looked as if it was on backwards.
Congrats to the newlyweds! That sunset was beautiful!

I had heard Jenna say prior to the wedding that she picked the color of Barbara's dress to match her "beautiful eyes". The rest of the house attendants supposedly wore colors that matched Texas wildflowers, but I don't know the style. Barbara's looks somewhat like a toga party, IMHO.
House attendants are somewhat like bridesmaids, but more utilitarian. One makes sure that the Guest Book is signed, another serves punch, etc.
I loved Laura's dress!

The sketches I saw of the house party's dresses looked cute - NOT like Barbara's. And the Texas designer who did Barbara (and Laura's) dress usually does a much better job.

I'm not a big fan of his either, but it's nice to see this side of President Bush as a doting and proud dad.
Jenna looked great. All the best for the new Mr. and Mrs. Hager!

Nice dress on Jenna...but you all are right...what is Barbara wearing? That is less than stellar. GWB looks happy, I really like the shade of Laura's dress. While a White House wedding would have been neat, it's good that they did it the way they wanted.

Ditto. I think the media has given huge weddings bad press (as in the marriage is over before all of the wedding debt is paid!)
