Cool Mishearing "i love you"

Hanging out with Mr. kddani tonight after going to dinner. He said something, and I SWEAR he said "I love you".... it was at a moment that would've been appropriate if he were going to say it. I said, "What did you say?" b/c I was kinda freaking out. He then said something totally different. Now, it's not me imagining it, b/c it's certainly not something we're ready for and not something that I feel for him yet.

We haven't been dating long enough for that, and we've been through a lot lately and were actually in the having a "talk" about where we are, etc. due to some recent drama in his life that's taking a lot of time. But it scared the hell out of me for some reason. Now, after he's gone home, i'm kinda laughing about it.

Anyone have any stories about when they thought someone said "i love you"?

My junior year in HS, I was dating a guy who was in college at UCF so we saw each other weekend. For some reason, we'd be all upset every Sunday when he'd have to drive back up to Orlando even though we'd see each other in just two weeks! As we were saying goodbye one time, he hugged me and I thought he said, "I love you so much." We had only been dating a month at that point. I was like, "Huh?" He was just like, "I didn't say anything." Riiiight. I was kinda freaked out after that.

The moral of the story being . . . don't tell girls you love them until they say it first.

I wonder if any of these guys DID say "I love you" but then freaked out and pretended they didn't after not getting the reaction they wanted. That would be SMOOVE.

Lol, I guess i'll never know b/c i'm not about to ask him. It would just be so out of place b/c about 1/2 hour before we were talking about whether we should break up b/c he doesn't have the time to really put into this. I didn't really react, I just asked what did you say, and what he said he said sounded not even remotely close to I love you. So he either said it or i'm totally crazy! haha

Yep. Cause I don't imagine it feels good to tell someone "I love you" and have the woman say, "Thank you" LOL!!!!!!!!

Dani, what did he say when you asked him "What did you say?" Was it something like "what a view" or "where's my shoe?"

Or olive juice.

It might have been a premature utterance, but I think that he loves you, Dani.

I hate the dating games. Wouldn't it be much more fun if everyone felt the same thing for the other person at the same time? Wishful thinking!

Long story, but it was "how's that feel". Both an "s" and an "f" sound that I certainly would've heard if that's what he had actually said.

I win.

him: "I think I love you."
me: "Really."
him: "Yeah. And this girl called today that I used to date awhile ago. She's 4 months pregnant and the baby's mine."
