On the surface level, their Thriller was excellent. Even the transvestite. Their "Radio GooGoo" wasn't as good. Although you put this in "entertainment," I have to say....
Beyond the surface, there have been interviews of the prisoners to see if this is fun recreation to them or if they are essentially being forced to do this. Some of the prisoners said it was fun (who knows if they were told to say that) and there were reports of people being forced to rehearse until they have calluses and bleeding feet. The "warden" is very pleased at the attention his prison is getting--who knows if he's a dictator.
The jury's still out.
But they're still prisoners so I don't cheer them too much. The human mind and body can do almost anything if you give it limited alternatives, hence other adaptations to environments, evolution, etc.
