The Body Worlds exhibit

Has anyone ever gone to see it?

I went last weekend and at times it was creepy, disturrbing and fascinating.

Not something for the faint of heart or weak of stomach but give it a shot...

it is probably the most realistic way of seeing workings of the human body short of going to a medical examiner's office

i saw something similar at NIH / nat'l library of medicine a few years back. it was weird but bearable. however the whole shebang like THAT exhibit seems like too much for me to handle.

I saw it at the Great Lakes Science Center in Cleveland a few years ago. I think it is a really interesting and different way to learn about anatomy/physiology and it didn't really come off as disgusting the way they had it displayed. I do agree though that people who are very sensitive to that kind of imagery would probably feel very uncomfortable. I would love to see it again if it ever comes back around to OH.

The creepiest one I saw had to have been the pregnant woman....

I worked as a docent in the Atlanta exhibit. We were part security guards and part tour guides. It was interesting for me.

I have to say though, after seeing Body Worlds and then some of the knockoffs, go to Body Worlds, it's more a combination of art and science, while the knockoffs aren't as well done.

I know, right?!

And thanks.... losing to Davidson was tough. The front page of the Post has the men's team in the locker room looking de-jected.
