Delta Chi closed at New Mexico State

Just found out on Friday while talking to the Greek Life Sec. that Delta Chi has closed its chapter due to low numbers. She also said that they are planning on selling their house.

any legit info on this? if not, it might get removed...ya know, hearsay and all....

regardless of that, it always sucks when any chapter closes...

Well...the chapter website hasn't been updated in FIVE YEARS...that's not a good sign....

Nothing at the Roundup (NMSU paper) website, other than a 1996 article about a death of a member at DX, whose parents were suing...

Its been very low key. The chapter had been struggling for the past year. If I remember correctly they did not get any new members last year. Their house no longer has their letters and is empty.

They're no longer listed on the Delta Chi national list of chapters, so I'd say that's pretty official. Sad, though, at least for me and my brothers worldwide.

Can this thread be moved to Greek Life?

If they closed purely because of numbers, it is NOT a hazing or risk management issue and shouldn't be in this forum - people could get the wrong idea.
