I think there is a secret organization within my sorority, and to be honest I am very alarmed by this. The girls that we have identified in it completely deny it but it is obvious they aren't telling the truth. Has anyone ever heard of anything like this? I am so alarmed I don't know what to do, who to trust, ect. I have been doing research, but I can't find anything anywhere.
I want to give out details, but to be honest I am kind of nervous. If you have ever heard of anything like this please let me know, I will give more details to you.
I am hoping that it is just some silly tradition that is no big deal that started like two years ago, but from the few reactions I have gotten I seriously doubt this. PLEASE PLEASE PLESE help!

I'm confused. Do you mean there is a clique within your chapter or there is some sort of secret society within your organization nationally?

Sounds like there is a split... The best you can do is let it go and K.I.M.

Just curious, but how was this brought to your attention? How are you so sure? Any examples you can provide that won't disclose too much about your org?

I think you should talk to an adviser if it's concerning you that much, and don't put up details on GC.

What she said.
Because it's such a sensitive situation, I'd treat it like Ritual. It has no place on the internet. The only qualified answer we can give you is to consult your advisors. That's what they're there for. In all serious matters concerning your organization, talk to your Chapter Advisor. If you feel that you're not comfortable in doing so, is there a Regional Director or HQ officer you can contact? You say you're in a very well known sorority, so I'll assume that yes, you have higher ups you can talk with.
Please don't disclose any information on the message boards, including the PMs. This sounds like something that should be handled internally.

If you think it's a secret society specific to your sorority I agree that you should discuss any concerns with your advisors. But if there's no division or issues being caused why be concerned?
If it's a school secret society, it's none of your business. With certain schools you have to assume that at least a few members of your chapter are going to be tapped for secret societies.
