2nd round advise
Love reading all of your stories! Any of you recruitment vetrans have any specific advise for 2nd and 3rd round success. I really would like to be a part of a sorority and my chances are shrinking fast. Thanks for any help you can give!

1. Be yourself.
2. Stop stressing out about it prematurely!

I agree with Violetpretty, it's important to be yourself, stressing will keep you from letting your real self shine through the nervousness. It's cliche, but you'll find your home and where you belong.
I would also search through the recruitment threads (not just the stories) but I think you've already been doing this
GOOD LUCK!
you could post your story here if you'd like, we give pretty good feedback and we are all addicted to them!

In another thread, you mentioned that you have 4 chapters left. I don't know how many you started with, but in any effect, focus on what you DO have (those 4 chapters) instead of getting upset about what you don't have.

First of all:
RELAX!
From what you say, you've only been through one day. So you didn't get the # of invites you wanted. As you can see on this board and in our stories, that happens ALOT. Very rarely do people get full schedules.
Second of all, something to remember is that in the end, no matter how many invites you get back every day, you can only accept one bid.
Focus on the 4 you say you do have because as long as you have at least ONE you still have a chance to be in sorority.

Thanks guys. You have made me feel alot better. Thank you for all your support. Being from a family of no greeks, they just don't understand all of this and I know you all do bc you have lived it before. I will try and relax and think positive! I look foward to themes now. I will not look back.

I agree with everything that has been said, and the "mom" in me would like to add two things:
1. Try not to think about cuts. (Yes, easier said than done, especially after harsh cuts!) Instead, try to think of recruitment as getting to know girls. When you get to know people it's a give and take. Ask them about themselves when you feel stuck or awkward. People love to talk about themselves and it shows interest in them as individuals, not just as a "vote" in membership selection.
2. I think your chances are still good, but remember that Greek life is not the only way to be involved. Try not to put too much pressure on yourself. In college there are so many opportunities for leadership, service, and fun - Greek life is great but it is not the be-all and end-all of college social life. You will be fine EITHER WAY, so try to relax and keep smiling!
